Oil prices move on information: a tanker turning around at Bab el-Mandeb, a refinery strike, a ceasefire collapsing, an OPEC decision. The problem is volume — thousands of headlines a day, most of them repeats, rumors, retrospectives or noise. PANOPT is a filtering machine: it reads everything so you only get interrupted for the handful of events that can actually reprice Brent crude.

The funnel

Every few minutes, PANOPT ingests headlines from news wires, official government and military channels, energy-industry feeds, curated fast sources and live ship-tracking data. Each item passes through a funnel:

• Triage — an AI gate kills noise (repeats, retrospectives, opinion pieces, price commentary) before it wastes anyone's attention. Known-dead stories are remembered so re-served copies die instantly.
• Scoring — surviving items are scored 1–10 for signal (how confirmed and specific) and impact (how much it can move the market), with a written reasoning line. A doctrine of trigger classes — chokepoint incidents, tanker behavior, refinery strikes, force majeure, ceasefire breakthroughs — sets floors so genuinely critical event types can never be under-scored.
• Verification — Panopt Confirm cross-references each claim against independent sources and labels it CONFIRMED, CORROBORATED or SINGLE-SOURCE. Denials are tracked against the claims they dispute.
• Delivery — CRITICAL alerts push to your devices immediately; everything else lands in the feed, scored and sortable.

When we're wrong, you see it

Automated systems make mistakes. PANOPT's policy is public correction, not silent deletion: when a report is contradicted or an alert was mis-scored, the original is marked REVISED in the feed with a note explaining what changed. The paper-trading account applies the same philosophy — every simulated trade the system takes, including the losers, is public with its full reasoning.

Price integrity

The live Brent chart runs on two independent price feeds that referee each other. If one feed breaks — serves a stale level or a phantom crash — it is automatically quarantined and the healthy feed takes over, so the chart you trade against never shows a move that didn't happen.
